Since 1994 all passenger terminals at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport have been protected by Autronica fire alarm systems. In 2004 the existing Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm System BS-100 was followed by the new generation of interactive fire detection systems in Autronica's product portfolio; AutroSafe Interactive Fire Detection System. In 2012 the first phase of the AutroSafe 4 Interactive Fire Detection System was installed.
Both the BS-100 and AutroSafe panels were interfaced to AutroMaster – an Integrated Emergency Management System, covering today's almost 9000 points. It provides a complete overview of the entire site and is the main access point to the daily routines of the complete fire detection system.
Airport Rescue Facilities Engineer Esko Ruotsalainen says; “Helsinki Airport passenger terminals are protected with Autronica Fire Alarm System and the system is working as supposed and we are very satisfied”.
Helsinki Airport, operated by Finavia, is the main partner of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012.
