Autronica reinforces our commitment to safety with local kindergarten initiative
At Autronica, safety is more than our line of work — it’s our purpose. Since 1957, we’ve been developing and producing advanced fire and gas detection systems designed to prevent accidents and save lives. Guided by our vision of zero loss of lives, we work every day to protect people, property, and the environment across the world.
But safety doesn’t stop at the products or systems we create. It also lives in the small, simple actions that make a difference in everyday life.
Children in Trondheim love being outside, no matter the season. Even as autumn brings colorful leaves, shorter days, and long nights, playgrounds, parks, and walking paths are filled with laughter, curiosity, and energy. Bundled up in warm clothes, they race along leaf-strewn paths, explore the crisp air, and make the most of every moment — proving that darkness doesn’t stop them from enjoying life outdoors.
To help keep them safe during these darker months, Autronica has provided every child at four different Trondheim kindergartens with their own reflective safety vest. The vests make children more visible during outdoor activities and give parents and staff added peace of mind, both now in autumn and through the coming winter. The kindergartens receiving the vests were Andungen Barnehage, Solbakken Barnehage, Majorstuen Barnehage, and Marihøna Barnehage.

Randi Viken Faanes, manager of Andungen Kindergarten, emphasizes the practical impact:
The reflective vests are an effective and important safety measure for us. They make the children clearly visible to drivers and other road users, help staff maintain oversight of the entire group, and indicate that the children are out together as a supervised kindergarten group. Additionally, they help instill good traffic safety habits in our children from an early age.

Since our founding back in 1957, our products have been designed and manufactured in Trondheim — a city known for innovation, technology, and care for the next generation.
