Autronica Fire and Security wins top supply chain projects award

Autronica Fire and Security has been honored with the 2025 Top Supply Chain Projects Award5 by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. This annual award recognizes organizations that have successfully implemented initiatives resulting in measurable improvements in supply chain performance, collaboration, and efficiency.
The recognition highlights Autronica’s efforts to strengthen supply chain operations through better data utilization, streamlined planning, and improved cross-functional communication.

The project has been a collaborative effort, with contributions from multiple departments within Autronica. While LeanDNA provided the technical foundation, the key to success has been the way the organization has adapted to and embraced the tool.
“Receiving this award is an acknowledgement of the work we’ve put in over the past few years,” says Thea A. Tysnes, SIOP Manager at Autronica Fire and Security. “It’s encouraging to see that the steps we’ve taken to modernize and align our processes are delivering results — both internally and externally.”
From manual work to smarter planning
The award-winning project focused on gaining better insight and structure in Autronica’s complex supply chain environment. By adopting a centralized planning and analytics platform — LeanDNA — Autronica was able to connect planning, procurement, and production teams through one shared system.
Previously, planners and buyers relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual checks, which often led to time consuming efforts, miscommunication and delays. With LeanDNA integrated into our ERP environment, critical data is now available in real time, enabling faster decisions and clearer communication between departments.
Strong results across the board
Since implementing the solution, Autronica has achieved several key improvements:
46% reduction in overall shortages
73% fewer shortages per order
12% improvement in inventory turnover
Clear to Build rate has increased by 27%, now reaching 100%
These changes have made a clear impact in production planning. What used to involve time-consuming manual checks is now visualized and streamlined — making it significantly easier to plan and execute weekly production schedules with confidence.
Better collaboration, less noise
A major benefit has been improved cross-team communication. Risk components that may affect production are now tracked in a shared system, eliminating the need for long email chains and separate reports. Everyone — from production and purchasing to order management — has access to the same updated information, improving alignment and transparency.
“We’ve really seen a shift in how teams work together,” Tysnes explains. “The system does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to analysis, which means we can spend more time acting on insights rather than chasing down data. It also helps that the platform presents information visually — that’s made it easier for everyone to understand and engage.”
A collaborative effort
The project was a team effort, involving several departments across Autronica. While LeanDNA provided the technical foundation, it’s the way the organization has adapted and used the tool that made the real difference.
“It’s rewarding to see that Autronica’s employees are using the system, understanding the value, and reporting back that their workdays have become easier and more efficient,” Tysnes concludes. “This award reflects that shared commitment — and the results speak for themselves.”
